Report on Participation in China Refrigeration Expo 2025 (CR 2025)

The 36th International Exhibition for Refrigeration, Air‑Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation, and Frozen Food Processing (China Refrigeration Expo 2025, hereafter CR 2025) was held from April 27 to 29, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai, China. We participated in the event through an inspection visit and exhibition committee‑facilitated booth exchange.
第36回 国際冷凍・空調・暖房・換気・冷凍食品加工展示会（中国制冷展、以下CR 2025）が2025年4月27日から29日まで、中国・上海新国際博覧中心（SNIEC）にて開催され、視察および展示会委員会からブース交換の出展を行いましたのでご報告いたします。

  1. １．CR2025(制冷展)視察

CAR（中国制冷学会）とCRAA（中国冷凍空調工業会）共催の展示会。毎年開催されるが、奇数年は上海、偶数年は中国各地での開催で、本年は上海での開催であった。当工業会も隔年でブース交換を行っており、HVAC＆R開催の年度にあたる本年は交換ブース出展（No. E1 G14）をしている。展示場の総面積は11.5万m2、1,200社の出展、（HVAC＆R Japan 2024東京ビッグサイト：1.7万m2、151社⇒面積約7倍、出展社数約8倍の規模）。来場者は、100千人超（HVAC＆R Japan：33.5千人⇒約3倍）となった。

The China Refrigeration Expo 2025 was jointly organized by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) and the China Refrigeration and Air‑Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA). Held annually, this exhibition alternates locations by year—taking place in Shanghai during odd-numbered years, and rotating to other Chinese cities on even-numbered years. This edition was hosted in Shanghai.

In alignment with our convention to participate in booth exchanges every two years, and in keeping with the year of HVAC&R Japan, our association took part with an exchange booth (No. E1 G14).

The event occupied approximately 115,000 m² of exhibition space across 10 halls, hosting nearly 1,200 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions. In comparison, HVAC&R Japan 2024, held at Tokyo Big Sight, featured 151 exhibitors, covered 17,000 m², and welcomed 33,513 visitors. Thus, CR Expo 2025 spanned approximately seven times the floor area and attracted eight times the number of exhibitors, while drawing roughly three times the visitors.

展示の印象は、前回同様に地域丸ごとのジオラマでの各種ソリューションや、ビル丸ごとの総合制御の訴求をベースとしながら、今回は大型の遠心可変速チラー/HPを前面に出す会社が目立った。また、新たな技術としてAIを訴求する社も見受けられた。R290については、前回同様にRACは見当たらず、欧州向けATWに限られる。また、R32 VRFの展示があったが、欧州向けとのことであった。


期間中、46本のシンポジウムと、26本の技術セミナーが組み込まれていたが、英語通訳が入るのはシンポジウム2本のみであった。


At this year’s China Refrigeration Expo, displays once again featured large-scale diorama models of entire regions showcasing diverse solutions alongside full-building control systems. This year, however, a notable uptick in exhibitors prominently highlighted large centrifugal variable-speed chillers and heat pumps. Additionally, several companies introduced new AI-driven technologies as part of their offerings.

In terms of refrigerants, consistent with previous editions, no R290 room air conditioners (RAC) were observed—this refrigerant remained confined to European-targeted air‑to‑water heat pump (ATW) units. R32-based VRF systems were also on display, but were similarly intended for the European market.

Over the course of the three-day event, 46 symposium sessions and 26 technical seminars were held. However, English interpretation was provided for only two of the symposiums.

シンポジウムの一つとして、展示会場内特設ブースにて開催

  1. ４．EPEEサイドイベント
シンポジウムの一つとして、「欧州の立法と、中国製造者へのインパクト」と題し、展示ホール隣接会議室にて開催。

開催日時：4月28日(月) 12:00 – 13:00

５．JRAIA ブース

CRAAとの相互PRの一環として、例年通りブース交換を行い、HVAC&R JAPAN 2026および環境と新冷媒国際シンポジウム2025の周知を実施しました。その際、HVAC&R JAPANに関する認知度アンケートも併せて実施しました。

2日間で約56社と名刺交換を行い、アンケートにもご協力いただきました。以下にその結果を報告いたします。

(1) HVAC＆R JAPANを知っているかについては　…14件が「Yes」と回答

(2) HVAC＆R JAPANを興味があるかについては　… 23件が「Yes」と回答

(3) HVAC＆R JAPAN2026に出展を希望するかについては

当工業会のブースは幸い会場入口付近に位置していたため、初日から多くの来場者にお立ち寄りいただき、盛況となりました。来場者の多くは名刺代わりにWechatを使用しており、今回のアンケートを通じてHVAC&R JAPANへの関心の高さや、出展・参加を希望する企業が多数存在することが明らかとなり、有意義な成果を得ることができました。
