We are pleased to report on HVAC&R JAPAN 2024, which was held at Tokyo Big Sight, East Hall 1 & 2 for four days from January 30 (Tue.) to February 2 (Fri.), 2024. Click here for the report of the previous show in 2022.Click here for the official HVAC&R JAPAN 2024 website
The next exhibition is scheduled to be held from January 27 (Tue.) to January 30 (Fri.) , 2026.

There were 149 companies/organizations (including co-exhibitors and 24 overseas companies), which was 766 booths in this year. The number of visitors reached a record high of 33,513.

The opening ceremony was held on the first day, January 30 (Tue.) from 9:50 a.m. in front of the entrance of East Hall 2 at Tokyo Big Sight.

After the opening ceremony, the guests of honor and executives from exhibiting companies toured the exhibition hall.

The next day, January 31 (Wed.) , was an international event, with lectures by representatives from Malaysia, China, and Korea.
In conjunction with the event, an MOU signing ceremony with MACRA was held at the beginning of the seminar.

About the Air Conditioner Market in Korea
On February 1 (Thu.), Governor Koike of Tokyo delivered a special lecture titled "Tokyo's Vision for a Sustainable Society.

The HVAC&R 2024 Awards ceremony was held on the afternoon of February 1 (Thu.).
The HVAC & R 2024 Awards, now in its third year, received applications from 10 companies in the product category, 9 companies in the solution/service category, and 9 companies in the parts/devices/processing method category.
After a review period of 6 judges (Jan. 9 - Jan.19), the judging committee meeting was held on the web on January 25, and as a result, 6 products were selected as winners.

In addition, 24 seminars including special and keynote lectures were held at the adjacent Ariake Central Tower Hall on the 3rd floor.
The event was a great success, with a total of 2,137 attendees. This year, a free lounge (with wifi, beverages, and snacks) was available for attendees to take a break or work between seminars and visiting exhibition. We hope you will make use of it again at your next visit.

This facility tour was divided into two visits to the Tokyo Gas Toyosu Smart Energy Center, where we were able to see facilities that we would not normally be able to enter. The main users are the Toyosu market and other nearby facilities, and they distribute electricity and gas.

In the information dissemination corner of the joint exhibition, Japan Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contrators (JARAC), Japan Refrigerant and Environment Conservation Organization (JRECO), Japan Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (JSRAE), and our association exhibited their products, and various events were held on the stage.
And we are pleased to inform you that the design of the certification for the performance verification system will be renewed, will be gradually switched over from October 2024.

It had been a long time since we had held a face-to-face event, and there was some concern, howeber, it was even more exciting with the start of the ENEX exhibition in the exhibition hall across the street on the second day of the exhibition period.
